Job summary

Lineage Logistics in Montreal is seeking a part-time Warehouse Associate for 20 hours per week on the evening shift, with a start time between 2:00 PM and 3:30 PM. You will move products using material handling equipment and follow all safety standards and procedures.

You will read and follow work orders, log materials with RF scanning, pick/put away palletized units, and prepare pallets for shipping. Lifting up to 40 lbs and flexible schedules are required; work may occur in cold or dry storage

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret pallet identification numbers and work orders.
• Basic math skills for quantities and counts.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment in a warehouse.
• Comfort with RF scanning technology and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Use material handling equipment to move products, equipment, and materials.
• Put away palletized units into racks; retrieve for outbound shipments.
• Record materials, weights, and counts using RF system.
• Load/unload pallets; wrap and label as needed for shipping.
• Complete daily forklift maintenance/check sheets; monitor batteries.

This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week on the evening shift, with a start time between 2:00 PM and 3:30 PM.Use a variety of material handling equipment to move products, equipment, and materials on and off trucks or throughout the facility while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPut away palletized units by lifting forks for placement into racks above floor heightPick palletized units out of rack locations above floor height and set up for outbound shipmentMay choose and record materials, weight, counts, and condition of food items via Radio Frequency (RF) systemLoad and unload materials on and off pallets, skids, or lifting deviceRead and follow computerized work orders to determine quantities, types of products to be shipped and the location of requested items in the warehouseDocument and report damages and discrepancies to supervisors or leadsMay need to pack, seal, and label materials/pallets for shipping using Radio Frequency (RF) scanning equipment to document and verify counts of picked items; otherwise, ensure all palletized stock is securely wrapped before placement on racks or transporting through the warehouseComplete daily forklift maintenance/check sheetMonitor battery charge and leave material handling equipment at the designated storage area; may need to maintain and clean batteries, depending on siteAlert appropriate leader of any issues with the product or materials and await directions to rectify the problemHelp clean and organize the warehouse at the end or throughout the shiftMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)Must be able to identify products through reading, interpreting, and scanning or manually inputting pallet identification numbersBasic math skillsAbility to understand instructions in Country's official language or as defined by Lineage LogisticsAbility to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gearMust be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kgs.; weight may be more dependent upon facilityAbility to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if neededMust be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loudWhy Lineage?This is an excellent position to begin your career path within Lineage!
