Warehouse Coordinator

Randstad is hiring for its fastest growing transportation client providing coast-to-coast coverage within Canada and between Canada and major US markets seeks an energetic self-starter for the position of Operations Coordinator / Supervisor in Edmonton. This role reports directly to the Terminal Manager and offers a temp-to-perm opportunity.

Position: Operations Coordinator
Shift: Afternoon, 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Salary: $55,000 to $60,000 annually
Location: Edmonton

Responsibilities

1. Administrative duties supporting efficient operations.
2. Maintaining company OH&S standards.
3. Collaborating with the operations team to meet targets and objectives.
4. Overseeing operations to ensure timely and accurate shipment processing.
5. Managing dock workers.
6. Managing yard usage, including ensuring proper and secure equipment parking.
7. Ensuring outbound freight is loaded into Linehaul and P&D units to meet service requirements.
8. Ensuring outbound freight is correctly routed.
9. Planning and coordinating Less Than Truckload (LTL) shipments.
10. Providing support in warehouse and logistics.
11. Handling customer escalation situations requiring increased attention.
12. Effectively communicating issues to management.

Qualifications

1. Previous transportation or operational experience.
2. Forklift knowledge (asset).
3. Proficient communication skills.
4. Comfortable with computer technology (email and online web tools).
5. TruckMate experience (asset).
6. Demonstrated customer relationship skills.
7. Self-starter with the ability to manage with minimal supervision.
8. Ability to meet deadlines in a high-transactional operations environment.
