Job description

Position Summary:

The Warehouse Coordinator role provides administrative support to the warehouse operations of a dedicated McDonald's distributorship. Responsibilities include planning and scheduling manpower and equipment for the hourly workforce, while fostering an environment that maximizes employee safety, involvement, and morale.

Within their scope, the warehouse coordinator ensures safety is a top priority through effective daily communication and action plan execution with employees, advocating for injury and collision risk management and incident avoidance.

Position Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
  • Plan daily and weekly workforce schedules
  • Conduct daily shift meetings, communicating safety and operational messages, taking suggestions, and answering questions
  • Assign daily work duties to warehouse workers
  • Manage workflows efficiently, adhering to the requirements of our Collective Bargaining Agreement
  • Maintain Vocollect and WMS systems
  • Ensure employee productivity, product quality, and equipment reliability meet all standards
  • Follow all SOPs and provide training to employees as necessary
  • Maintain production schedules and other relevant information
  • Communicate across Warehouse and Transportation departments regarding potential issues impacting customers or operations
  • Demonstrate leadership by promoting teamwork and maintaining a positive attitude
  • Follow industry, company, and sanitation standards, ensuring the physical plant and transportation equipment are hazard-free and compliant with regulations
  • Comply with all Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR), Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), and Good Warehouse Practices (GWP)
  • Perform other projects or duties as assigned
