Job summary

Canada Cartage in Winnipeg is seeking a Warehouse Associate to handle inbound and outbound freight safely and accurately. You will use RF guns and powered material handling equipment on a Monday–Friday shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, loading/unloading, picking orders, and completing paperwork with precision.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, prior warehouse experience, and training in TDG/WHMIS. Strong communication and residency in Winnipeg are required to work legally in Canada.

Qualifications

• TDG and WHMIS training.
• RF technology experience.
• Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Must currently live in Winnipeg.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound stock items and maintain quality/accuracy.
• Perform accurate order picking.
• Complete required documentation neatly and accurately.
• Manual lifting up to 50lbs.
• Operate material handling equipment safely (sit-down counter balance forklift, stand-up reach truck, walkie-riders).
• Perform equipment maintenance checks and general housekeeping.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor or department Lead Hand, Warehouse associates are responsible for handling inbound and outbound freight safely and accurately.Use of a variety of powered Material Handling Equipment is required, as is use of an RF Gun.

• Location – CCLS 55 Rothwell road, Winnipeg, MB
• Working Days – Mon – Fri
• Shift Timing (7:00 am to 3:30 pm)

What you will do

• Maintaining quality and accuracy while receiving inbound stock items, and noting any deficiencies;
• Accurate order picking;
• Completing required documentation neatly and accurately;
• Manual labor (lifting up to 50lbs);
• Safe and skilled operation of material handling equipment including a sit-down counter balance forklift and a stand-up deep reach truck and walkie-riders
• Performing maintenance checks of material handling equipment;
• Housekeeping and other general warehouse duties.

What You’ll Bring

• High School (Grade 12) Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Previous experience within a warehouse environment
• Previous experience with a forklift or reach truck an asset
• TDG and WHMIS training;
• Previous experience with RF technology;
• Communication skills, including written, oral.
• Must be legally entitled to in work in Canada
• Must currently live in Winnipeg
