Job summary

Canada Cartage Winnipeg is seeking a dependable Warehouse Associate to handle inbound and outbound freight safely and accurately. You will operate various powered material handling equipment and an RF gun, work the 3:00 pm–11:30 pm shift, and help maintain inventory accuracy.

This role requires a high school diploma, prior warehouse experience, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and TDG/WHMIS training. RF experience is a plus, and you must be eligible to work in Canada and reside in Winnipeg.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
• Experience with forklift or reach truck is an asset.
• TDG and WHMIS training preferred.
• RF technology experience beneficial.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and reside in Winnipeg.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality and accuracy while receiving inbound stock and note deficiencies.
• Perform accurate order picking.
• Complete required documentation neatly and accurately.
• Manual labor with lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Operate material handling equipment including sit-down counter balance forklift, stand-up reach truck, and walkie-rider.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment.
• Maintain housekeeping and perform general warehouse duties.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor or department Lead Hand, Warehouse associates are responsible for handling inbound and outbound freight safely and accurately.Use of a variety of powered Material Handling Equipment is required, as is use of an RF Gun.

• Location – CCLS 55 Rothwell road, Winnipeg, MB
• Working Days – Mon – Fri
• Shift Timing (3:00 pm to 11:30 pm)

What you will do

• Maintaining quality and accuracy while receiving inbound stock items, and noting any deficiencies;
• Accurate order picking;
• Completing required documentation neatly and accurately;
• Manual labor (lifting up to 50lbs);
• Safe and skilled operation of material handling equipment including a sit-down counter balance forklift and a stand-up deep reach truck and walkie-riders
• Performing maintenance checks of material handling equipment;
• Housekeeping and other general warehouse duties.

What You’ll Bring

• High School (Grade 12) Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Previous experience within a warehouse environment
• Previous experience with a forklift or reach truck an asset
