Warehouse Associate (Summer Student) - Vancouver, BC (Starting wage: $24.00 Hourly)

Key Accountabilities:

  • Fill customers’ orders accurately in a timely manner (pick/pack/ship orders)
  • Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or using material handling equipment
  • Assist with loading and unloading delivery trucks and containers
  • Receive materials; unpack, count, sort, receive in the system
  • Count materials, wrap and stack goods, put-away, pack, unpack, sort, label…to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Always keep warehouse in neat orderly condition
  • Comply with all department and company policies and procedures including but not limited to safety and attendance

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of Warehouse and/or production facility experience

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology
  • Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures
  • Forklift license is a plus
  • Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50 pounds

Working Environment:

  • Industrial plant production environment
