Job summary

Guillevin in Calgary is seeking a Shipping Associate to ensure accurate shipments and timely delivery. You will inspect incoming products, consolidate orders, and prepare bills of lading while maintaining a clean, safe shipping area and assisting drivers and customers at the pick-up window.

The role requires a team player with good English communication and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs; forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma completed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Good English communication and teamwork.
  • Forklift certification is an asset.
  • Experience in a similar role is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect shipments and verify against packing slips.
  • Consolidate products from the picking floor with orders.
  • Create Bill of Ladings for outbound shipments.
  • Shrink wrap shipments on skids.
  • Process various courier shipments online.
  • Move shipments with a pump truck to shipping lanes.
  • Assist customers at Pick-Up Window.
  • Support drivers for carriers on arrival.
  • Keep shipping area clean and organized.
  • Support Shipping Manager with special projects.

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Associate - Shipper

Job Description

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Shipping Associate is responsible for ensuring all shipments are accurate and delivered in a timely manner.

Main Responsibilities
  • Inspect all products coming in from the picking floor and verify accuracy against packing slips
  • Consolidate all products coming in from the picking floor together with their corresponding order
  • Create Bill of Ladings for outbound shipments
  • Shrink wrap shipments on skids
  • Process various courier shipments in their online portals
  • Use pump truck to move shipments into shipping lanes
  • Assist customers at Pick-Up Window
  • Assist drivers for carriers when they arrive
  • Keep shipping area clean, including outside ramp and under dock doors
  • Various projects as assigned by Shipping Manager / Shipping Leads
Qualifications
  • Experience in a similar position is an asset
  • Forklift certification is an asset
  • Ability to lift weight up to 50 lbs.
  • High school diploma completed
  • Capability to work as a team player
  • Good Math skills
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
