Job summary

HD Supply Canada Inc. is seeking a warehouse associate to perform receiving, inventory and order-processing tasks in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include recording shipments, matching packing lists, and preparing items for storage.

The role may involve operating a forklift, verifying stock counts, inspecting items for wear, and maintaining a safe, clean work area. 2–5 years of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Generally 2–5 years of experience in area of responsibility.
• Specialized skills training/certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Receives, counts and records shipment data into the system.
• Matches packing list information to actual packed merchandise.
• Prepares packages/merchandise for storage.
• Record receiving data using computer.
• Pack, unpack, and mark stock items with identification tag or labeling equipment.
• Identify incorrect/short shipped items and notify supervisor.
• Deliver products, supplies, and equipment to designated area.
• May operate forklift or other machinery.
• Verify computations against physical count of stock.
• Examine and inspect stock items for wear and defects.
• Maintain clean and organized work area.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
