The Warehouse Associate – Receiver / Order Picker will be responsible for various warehouse support duties. The ideal candidate will work well independently, have strong verbal communication skills and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

How you Contribute to Noble's Success

Receiving:

  • Unload, stage, and open all crates, boxes, and packages being received from a vendor
  • Verify that the material received matches accurately with what was ordered
  • Label products with our internal codes to ensure order pickers can pick correct items
  • Sort and place received packages in their appropriate shelf
  • Create shelf space, and label/organize new products intended as permanent inventory
  • Dispose of discarded boxes and save crates and pallets in good condition for re-use as shipping packaging
  • Report received products to Inventory Control/Purchasing, ensuring all items are coded accurately
  • Report any receiving discrepancies to Inventory Control/Purchasing so the vendor may be notified
  • Keep files related to receiving in an orderly and up-to-date manner for easy reference
  • Keep the product shelves clean and free of debris and obstacles
  • Identify and label products that have lost their labels
  • Assist customer service and plant personnel when looking for material in the warehouse
  • Other warehouse duties as assigned by Supervisor/Branch Manager

Order Picking:

  • Follow the proper order picking and packing procedures as outlined by Supervisor/Branch Manager
  • Help with order picking when receiving is slow and when there is a heavy load of orders to pick
  • Assist in the care and control of the order picking carts, forklifts, and material handling equipment
  • Maintain a clean and safe warehouse
  • Other warehouse/customer service duties as assigned by Supervisor/Branch Manager

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to convey messages in a clear manner
  • Detail-oriented, with above average organizational skills
  • Excellent time management with a proven ability to adhere to tight customer demands
  • Health and safety conscious
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to daily changes
  • Capable of handling skids, crates, and pipe products of various physical shapes
  • Must be able to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 (fifty) pounds

Qualifications:

  • Must operate a Reach Type forklift safely and proficiently as part of this duty
  • Working knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Office)
  • Knowledge of Inventory Control principles a strong asset
  • Must have a valid Driver's Licence
