Job Purpose
The Warehouse Associate - II will be responsible for the movement of both inventory and non-inventory items within the Sun Pharma warehouse(s), production, and compounding departments, and with external customers while providing a high level of service to internal and external stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate forklift and/or pallet trucks:
- Timely pick, stage, load/unload trucks, check and supply components, bulk inventory, and raw materials as per pick lists for the Packaging, Compounding, and other internal departments.
- Verify material description, item number, lot number, container number, license plate, and counts for all inbound and outbound materials and ensure proper documentation in BPCS/SAP according to procedures.
- Use RF Gun and backup systems for material movements when required.
- Drive the 5-ton Sun Pharma Truck to move material safely between buildings.
- Perform timely cycle counts as required.
- Complete all cGMP documentation correctly and promptly.
- Complete all training assignments and maintain personal training records.
- Participate in internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area as per cGMP standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities (Customer Facing Roles)
Report any adverse events received from customers for company products to the pharmacovigilance department / Drug Safety on the same day or within 1 business day.
Qualifications
- Secondary School / High School Diploma.
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License in good standing.
- Forklift truck certification.
- 2-5 years’ experience with Raymond Reach truck, Ride-on Walkie (Counterbalance is an asset).
- Experience in a warehouse environment for 2-5 years.
- Pharmaceutical/food environment experience is a strong asset.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, manage time, and work independently.
- Strong organizational and mathematical skills.
- Understanding of cGMP concepts and SOPs.
- Knowledge of SAP and RF systems is an asset.
- Ability to lift objects up to 25kg and handle drums of 220kg with equipment.
- Adherence to proper material handling procedures.
- Safety conscious.
- First Aid/CPR training is an asset.
- Ability to troubleshoot inventory issues and work as part of a team.
Working Conditions
- Warehouse environment (room temperature).
- Ability to work in a busy environment and flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Standing, walking, bending, moving, and lifting safely up to 25kg, with occasional handling of drums up to 220kg using equipment.
