Overview

Warehouse Associate I at Seaspan ULC. The role executes day-to-day warehousing activities to manage materials and equipment required for new vessel construction at Seaspan Vancouver Shipyards. This position involves shipping, receiving, inventory management, order picking and packing tasks. The Warehouse Associate reports to the Supervisor, Warehousing. This is an on-site role located in Burnaby with a planned move to Langley in February 2026.

Burnaby Warehouse: 2275 Douglas Road, Burnaby, BC, V5C 5A7. Langley Warehouse: 26977 56 Avenue, Langley, BC, V4W 3Y2.

What You’ll Do
  • Actively participate in receiving, inventory control, order picking, packing and shipping operations. Use IFS Applications MRP software and automated data capture hardware (handheld scanners) for transactions.
  • Prioritize assigned tasks and ensure timely and accurate completion.
  • Assist other warehouse staff with larger transfers, orders, or receipts.
  • Adhere to established operational processes and procedures and contribute ideas for improvements.
  • Ensure appropriate filing of all warehouse paperwork, including packing slips, inventory count sheets, pick lists, shipping documents and transaction reports.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy by performing physical counts and inputting count data.
  • Minimize equipment downtime by following operating instructions, performing preventive maintenance and reporting breakdowns.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by observing all safety policies and procedures.
  • Plan and adjust work based on requirements and priorities, seeking clarification when needed.
  • Load products, parts and merchandise into packages that meet product dimensions and packing requirements, including crating and uncrating.
What You’ll Bring
  • Minimum of 3 years of warehousing operations experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Grade 12 High School Diploma.
  • Desirable: enrollment in professional development or training (e.g., BCIT Materials Management certification or APICS).
  • Preferred: Transportation of Dangerous Goods certificate (ground and air).
  • Forklift operator certificate for sit-down counterbalance and stand-up reach trucks is an asset.

Salary and Other Details

Estimated salary: $55,800 – $68,200. Final offer will reflect candidate skills, experience, location, and internal equity as part of a competitive total compensation package.
