Job summary

Northern Strands Group of Companies is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Labourer in Saskatchewan to assist in loading, unloading, lifting, and moving material. You will report to the Inside Sales & Warehouse Manager and contribute to safety, accuracy, and timely order fulfillment.

Ideal candidates have Grade 12 and a couple years in a warehouse, with a focus on organization, detail, and professional client interaction.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Time-management skills and ability to handle competing priorities.
• Strong interpersonal and professional conduct when interacting with customers and coworkers.
• Any safety-related training such as WHMIS is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble containers and crates, record contents manually or in computer system, and pack goods to be shipped.
• Assist with loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances.
• Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages, and reject damaged goods.
• Operate forklift, hand truck, overhead crane or other equipment as necessary.
• Organize items to fill customer requests from Order Desk and Outside Sales.
• Provide backup assistance to the Shipper/Receiver.
• Assist with reeling rope for customer orders.
• Restock wire rope on racking and pallet racks.
• Restock chain drums.
• Build and paint reels.
• Assist with filling chain orders.
• Assist with building wire rope slings and small assemblies.
• Complete regular inventory cycle counts.
• Assist with general facilities maintenance.
• Interact courteously with customers, vendors and co-workers, displaying professional conduct
• Other related duties as assigned
