The Job

Fraser Direct is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our team and support various departments. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse. You’ll perform hands-on tasks in various departments to ensure client expectations are met accurately and on time. This position involves cross-training and assisting in multiple areas, including Receiving, Projects (assembly), Picking, and Packaging.

The Duties

  • Unload inbound shipments safely and efficiently (manually or using lifting devices such as pump truck, walkie, forklift) and stage shipment in the receiving area information (e.g. product number, quantity, expiry date, lot numbers)
  • Load and restock production lines (conveyors and packaging machines) with products
  • Manually lift and handle cartons of product, sorting and rebuilding skids as required
  • Properly prepare received pallets for put away, assist with put away as required
  • Operate RF scanner and handle materials in a fast-paced environment
  • Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and meet client standards
  • Always follow company and client procedures and specifications
  • Follow health & safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment
  • Be flexible and willing to cross-train in different departments, assist with other tasks as needed
  • Meet productivity expectations while performing tasks efficiently and accurately
  • Assist with other tasks as needed

The Ideal Candidate

Essential to Have:

  • Prior experience using RF scanner
  • Ability to lift or move 50lbs/23 kg regularly throughout the shift
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop and stretch ongoing throughout the day to accomplish tasks
  • Demonstrated commitment to health and safety practices
  • Willingness to learn with a positive a can-do attitude

Nice to Have:

  • Forklift license an asset, but we are willing to train you and certify you (means starting at lower wage rate to offset cost of training and certification, wage review post-certification)
