Job Description - Warehouse Associate - Cylinder Handler (Summer Student) - Delta, BC (25000837)

Position: Warehouse Associate - Cylinder Handler (Summer Student)

Location: Delta, BC

Starting Wage: $29.19 Hourly

Primary Purpose:

The Cylinder Handler performs duties related to loading, preparing, filling, and shipping cylinders as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Load and unload trucks, confirming cylinder quantities, styles, and product mix.
  2. Shunt trucks, operate a forklift, and handle cylinders proficiently.
  3. Put away stock, count cylinder loads, and maintain warehouse housekeeping.
  4. Fill cylinders as needed.
  5. Conduct visual, physical, and odor tests on cylinders before filling; determine if re-testing or repairs are necessary.
  6. Complete and maintain quality control documentation per company and governmental standards.
  7. Achieve standards for productivity and quality.
Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Safety-conscious with a strong commitment to safety.
  • Enrolled in an engineering program.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
  • Dependable and punctual.
  • Capable of manipulating various cylinder sizes and weights.
  • Ability to operate filling stations and analytical equipment.
