JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, we are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Associate to join our distribution centre in Delta, BC. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for coordinating the activities surrounding the warehouse operations.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Coordinates activities surrounding the warehouse operations
  2. Unpack, inspect, sort and put stock away in appropriate locations
  3. Ensure pallets and shelving units are in good working conditions
  4. Pick customer orders for shipment and ensure accuracy by picking the correct number and type of product
  5. Pick and pack orders in an accurate and efficient manner
  6. Organize stock and maintain inventories
  7. Perform daily inspection of forklift prior to use
  8. Maintain safety compliance when operating material handling equipment
  9. Report any unsafe work conditions that may occur
  10. Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  11. Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Minimum 1 year of recent distribution or warehouse experience
  2. High School Diploma or equivalent
  3. Experience using RF scanner or manual picking preferred but not required
  4. Required to operate material handling equipment
  5. Licensed with any one of the following forklifts: Counter Balance, Raymond Reach, Order (Cherry) Picker, or Dock Stocker (Reach experience preferred) is a strong asset
  6. Excellent work ethic and a positive attitude
  7. Excellent attendance and punctuality
  8. Ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  9. Strong communication skills both oral and written
  10. Ability to lift heavy objects to 50 LBS
  11. SAP background preferred but not required
  12. Intermediate knowledge of computer applications
