Job summary

The Fastener Group Ltd. in Canada is seeking a Warehouse Associate to help keep our retail operations running smoothly in Saskatoon. You will manage inventory, process shipments, and support accurate records to sustain timely order fulfillment for our customers.

You will unload inbound shipments, stage goods, perform put-away with safety in mind, and collaborate with teammates to optimize storage. This role requires a high school diploma, warehouse experience, and willingness to obtain forklift

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior warehouse or distribution center experience.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely, up to 50 lbs.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Picking customers and interbranch orders and double-checking accuracy prior to shipment.
  • Unload inbound trucks and trailers and stage goods in the receiving lane.
  • Process inbound shipments, including sorting, quality checking, and count verification.
  • Perform put-away of product on all levels of racking using powered equipment where required.
  • Organize shelves, clean the warehouse, and carry out other tasks as assigned by the manager.
  • Use of PPE.

About the Role:

The Warehouse Associate plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of the warehouse within the retail trade industry. This position is responsible for managing inventory, processing incoming and outgoing shipments, and maintaining accurate records to support supply chain activities. The role requires collaboration with team members to optimize storage solutions and ensure timely order fulfillment. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to maintain a secure and organized warehouse environment. Ultimately, the Warehouse Associate 2 contributes to the seamless flow of goods, supporting overall business objectives and customer satisfaction in the Canadian market.

  • Other duties, such as organizing shelves, cleaning the warehouse, and other tasks as assigned by the manager.

Skills:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely, typically up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain one.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software.
  • Familiarity with retail trade supply chain processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or overtime as needed.
