As a Warehouse Associate, you will participate in an 18-month trainee program. Your training will focus on learning basic warehouse tasks such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, wire cutting, light assembly, and housekeeping of assigned areas. You will comply with operational, audit, safety, and all other company policies.

Responsibilities :

  • Complete local safety orientation and training courses; ensure safety and security policies are followed.
  • Shadow experienced Warehouse Operations associates on verification of supplier inbound, customer returns, branch returns, and enter order receipts into computer and RF systems.
  • Under guidance, place received material into proper warehouse storage locations after segregating backorders.
  • Receive training on filling out log sheets for inbound overages, shortages, damages, or non-compliant material.
  • Learn to use manual or RF systems to pick, pack, weigh, and ship products.
  • Assist in packing, labeling, wrapping, and loading inbound/outbound trucks.
  • Get trained on using system-generated or manual delivery records and complete pick tickets.
  • Verify return policies are followed before issuing credits for returned material.
  • Pull stock and process returns for credit, sale, or return to supplier.
  • Receive training on wire cutting and spooling.
  • Maintain counter stock and assist with customer service activities.
  • As experience progresses, receive additional training on operating forklifts and pallet jacks.

Working Environment : Warehouse – Work is generally performed in a warehouse environment with moderate noise levels. Well ventilated and lit. Employees may be exposed to weather and required to wear protective clothing and operate heavy equipment following safety regulations.

Physical Expectations :

  • Work is physically strenuous; lifting heavy packages up to 50 lbs is required.
  • May involve excessive bending or stooping.
  • Long-distance walking throughout the day.
  • Use of hand tools.
