Job Description

As an EECOL Apprentice – Operations, you will participate in an 18-month trainee program. Your training will focus on learning basic warehouse tasks such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, wire cutting, light assembly, and maintaining cleanliness of your assigned areas. You will adhere to operational, audit, safety, and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Complete safety orientation and training courses, following all safety and security policies.
• Shadow experienced Warehouse Operations staff on tasks like verifying inbound shipments, handling returns, and entering order receipts into computer and RF systems.
• Learn to store received materials properly, segregating backorders as needed.
• Practice filling out log sheets for inbound overages, shortages, damages, or non-compliance.
• Get trained in using manual or RF systems for picking, packing, weighing, and shipping products.
• Assist with packing, labeling, wrapping, and loading trucks.
• Learn to use system-generated or manual delivery records and complete pick tickets.
• Help verify return policies before issuing credits for returned materials.
• Pull stock and process returns for credit, sale, or return to supplier.
• Practice wire cutting and spooling techniques.
• Maintain counter stock and support customer service activities.
• As you gain experience, receive additional training on operating forklifts and pallet jacks.

Working Environment

The role is based in a warehouse, which is generally well-ventilated, well-lit, and moderately noisy. Employees may be exposed to various weather conditions and are required to wear protective clothing and operate heavy equipment, following safety regulations.

Physical Expectations

• Work involves physical exertion, including lifting heavy packages up to 50 lbs.
• May require bending, stooping, and walking long distances repeatedly.
• Use of hand tools may be necessary.
