Job summary

LMI Technologies in Surrey, BC, is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor/Planner to coordinate daily warehouse, shipping, and receiving activities, ensuring accurate inventory flow and documentation for inbound and outbound shipments.

You will unload shipments, inspect goods, manage ERP transactions, operate forklifts, and drive continuous improvements in material flow and shipping processes to support timely deliveries and product quality.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma with some technical post-secondary training or experience.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years in Shipper/Receiver roles.
  • Minimum of 2 years forklift experience with valid certification.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with ability to multitask.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs/22 kg regularly.
  • Proficient basic mathematics with good written and verbal communication.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily warehouse, shipping, and receiving activities for timely movement of materials.
  • Unload incoming shipments, verify quantities and condition, and organize materials.
  • Receive and inspect goods to match packing lists.
  • Maintain quarantine for damaged items and notify appropriate personnel.
  • Process purchase and transfer orders in ERP (NetSuite).
  • Locate, pick, stage, and prepare parts per transfer orders.
  • Perform final inspections for quality before shipment.
  • Package and protect products for safe transport.
  • Prepare and issue shipping documentation for domestic shipments.
  • Safely load orders onto trucks and coordinate pickups with carriers.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure material availability.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and perform cycle counts to resolve discrepancies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and processes.
  • Keep warehouse locations organized and properly labeled.

Job description

The Warehouse Supervisor / Planner delegates to the Warehouse Associate the responsibility and authority to coordinate the daily flow of inventory, ensuring the efficient movement of goods and accurate processing of all related documentation for inbound and outbound shipments.

  • Coordinate daily warehouse, shipping, and receiving activities to ensure accurate and timely movement of materials, parts, and finished products.
  • Unload incoming shipments from trucks, verify quantities and condition, and organize materials in designated warehouse locations.
  • Receive and inspect incoming goods to ensure they match the packing list.
  • Segregate damaged items in the designated Quarantine area and notify the Warehouse Supervisor/Planner or appropriate department.
  • Accurately receive and fulfill purchase and transfer orders in the ERP system, including NetSuite.
  • Locate, pick, stage, and prepare parts accurately according to internal transfer orders.
  • Conduct final visual inspections of parts and finished products before shipment to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Properly package and protect products to prevent damage during handling and transportation.
  • Coordinate and perform shipping activities according to planner schedules. Including: preparing shipping documentation, labels, packing slips, and other paperwork required for domestic shipments.
  • Safely and efficiently load completed orders onto trucks and other transportation vehicles.
  • Contact vendors, couriers, and shipping companies to arrange pickups and obtain shipping information.
  • Coordinate with the Warehouse Supervisor/Planner and other departments to ensure materials are available when required.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of warehouse parts, materials, supplies, and finished products.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and inventory counts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and work with relevant departments to correct system and physical inventory records.
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, material flow, shipping processes, and overall operational performance.
  • Maintain organized warehouse locations, ensuring parts are properly labeled, identified, stored, and easily accessible.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work environment
  • Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies and training requirements.
  • Adhere to LMI’s Employee Policy Manual and all applicable company procedures and standards.
Education and Qualifications
  • High school graduate with some technical post secondary training or experience.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years working in Shipper/Receiver position.
  • Minimum of 2 year of forklift experience combined with a valid forklift certification
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Able to regularly lift up to 50lbs/22kgs on a regular basis.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic mathematics, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Salary Range: $48,800 to $69,540 CAD + Eligibility for Profit Sharing Program Participation (pending successful completion of probationary period and based on business performance)
