Warehouse Associate

Adecco is currently hiring several temporary full-time Warehouse Associates to work for our client in Kelowna, BC. In this role, you will be working with RF scanning machines and in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role requires the ability to lift up to 50lbs, read small numbers, and be comfortable with heights. Pay rate: $19.00/hour

Location: Kelowna, BC

Shift: Monday to Friday | 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Responsibilities:

1. Marks pallets with identifying store information
2. Pick and stage parts for store replenishment
3. Uses a hand-held radio frequency device (RF Scanner)
4. Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals
5. Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Requirements:

1. Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
2. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) / Home School equivalency
3. Is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, talk, and hear
4. Is frequently required to stop, kneel, and crouch or stoop
5. Is occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance
6. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Items heavier than 50lbs will be moved with the assistance of a Pallet Jack
7. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus
8. Bending/stooping and reaching into stationary totes to retrieve product
9. Standing/walking for extended periods of time
10. May be exposed to moving mechanical parts while operating manual pallet jacks or forklift trucks
11. The noise level in the work environment may be high at times
12. Experience using RF scanner
13. Must have an active G License and own vehicle to get to work
14. Must speak fluent English
15. Must be able to work in an extremely fast-paced environment
