Job summary

Aquatrans Distributors Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator to lead storage, inventory management, receiving, and freight delivery in a 24-hour environment at our Ladysmith facility.

The role covers daily dock operations, fleet, dispatch, and coordination with drivers and the Operations Manager. The position requires at least 2 years of supervisory and warehousing experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office; experience with RF scanners, WMS, and TMS is an asset.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Minimum 2 years in warehousing, transportation, dispatch, and terminal operations.
  • Strong customer service and collaborative communication.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook; RF scanners, WMS/TMS a plus.
  • Experience with forklift loading/unloading and transport equipment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work indoors/outdoors.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for warehouse and dispatch operations including shipping/receiving, inventory management, dispatching, and supporting the Operations manager.
  • Ensure WMS/TMS records are up-to-date and accurate for all inbound/outbound shipments.
  • Support staff and drivers to achieve company performance goals; provide resource planning support.
  • Communicate and track monthly performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain compliance with provincial transportation, safety, and employment regulations.
  • Be part of the safety committee and participate in weekly safety meetings; manage incident reporting and corrective actions.
  • Support loading/unloading of freight and ensure shipment accuracy and safe handling.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to resolve daily roadblocks.

As the Warehouse Coordinator, you are responsible for leading the operations of storage, inventory management, receiving & delivery of dedicated freight to meet customer requirements in a 24-hour environment, Monday through Saturday service including daily dock operations, drivers, fleet, and dispatch at our Ladysmith warehouse.

This worker must understand the impact of this position to other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of warehouse operations. Inventory management, order picking, and relations with other members of the operations team are essential functions for this position.

You will:
  • Responsible for warehouse and dispatch operations including shipping/receiving, inventory management, dispatching, and supporting the Operations manager.
  • Ensure WMS/TMS records are up-to-date and accurate for all inbound/outbound shipments.
  • Support staff and drivers to achieve company performance goals.
  • Support all stakeholders with resource planning.
  • Communicate and track monthly performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain compliance with all provincial transportation, safety, and employment regulations.
  • Be an integral part of the safety committee and participate in weekly safety meetings, and ensure incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Support with loading/unloading of freight and ensure shipment accuracy and safe handling.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to resolve daily roadblocks.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment and support the company’s safety culture.
  • Performs other duties as required
What You Need to Get the Job Done
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in warehousing, transportation, dispatch, and terminal operations.
  • Driven by a passion for outstanding customer service and collaborative communication
  • Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and web-based systems; experience with RF scanners, WMS & TMS is an asset.
  • Hands-on knowledge of warehouse and transport equipment (e.g., forklifts, lift jacks, trailers).
  • Experience with forklift loading and unloading enclosed trailer, flat decks and containers
  • Physically fit and able to perform some lifting up to 50lbs, able to stand for extended periods of time, indoors and outdoors.
  • Able to work outside regular warehouse hours if required
  • Ability to work independently, thrive in a dynamic environment, and take direction well from management.
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and writing, problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle changing priorities
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills with the ability to drive engagement and performance.
  • Strong safety mindset and experience in safety-sensitive environments.
  • Highly skilled in professional verbal and written English communication, Punjabi is an asset
