Job Description:

  1. Receive shipments: from other facilities, vendors, and returns from customers. Stock products received from manufacturing facilities and vendors. Restock unused products from customer returns. Report damaged, missing, or used products to the warehouse or distribution manager. Many items are stored manually in cases.
  2. Order picking (15%): Accurately pull customer orders to ensure correct product, size, and quantity. Pull orders from picking slips or reports. Use equipment such as 2-wheelers, carts, forklifts, and order pickers. Lift case goods, pails, and drums as needed.
  3. Shipping preparation (20%): Fill out picking slips with proper shipping information, label products, and wrap skids for truck line pickup. Load outbound trucks safely, ensuring paperwork complies with DOT regulations.
  4. Operational duties (10%): Fill in for warehouse/distribution manager when absent. Perform duties such as ordering trucks, cycle counts, physical inventories, training, audits, communication with truck lines, reps, and customers, housekeeping, and participating in Kaizen events and other continuous improvement efforts. Perform distribution duties like shipping full truck loads, managing truck scheduling, and coordinating with carriers.
