Description

Daikin Comfort Technologies Distribution, Inc. is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Warehouse Associate position in our branch operations group. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for off-loading, put-away, picking, and staging of equipment and parts, while providing professional customer service to all internal and external customers. The role involves movement of materials within the warehouse, maintaining overall appearance, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

  • Operate forklift and warehouse equipment safely to load, unload, and transfer materials without damage
  • Receive items per procedure and stock in assigned locations
  • Maintain inventory and perform cycle counts
  • Complete Will Calls accurately and timely
  • Ensure proper documentation and transaction entries
  • Wear PPE and uniform during shifts and perform safety checks
  • Assist customers and CSRs as needed
  • Follow SOPs, work processes, and company policies
  • Perform additional tasks as required

Nature and Scope

  • Possesses broad theoretical knowledge, typically obtained through education
  • Performs structured work with limited discretion
  • Work is closely supervised
  • Explains policies and practices related to the job

Knowledge & Skills

  • Effective verbal and written communication

  • Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
  • Ability to operate forklift safely and efficiently
  • Ability to pass Prove It and driving tests
  • Eligible for in-house forklift certification within 30 days
  • Dependable, team-oriented, and able to establish positive relationships
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse

Experience

  • At least 1 year of forklift experience preferred
  • At least 1 year of warehouse experience preferred

Education

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license required

  • Must perform responsibilities with or without accommodations
