Job summary

Kaycan, now part of Saint-Gobain, is hiring a Warehouse Associate to join our Kelowna team. You will pick, pack, and ship orders, load/unload trucks, and keep the warehouse organized while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires 1–3 years in warehouse/distribution and a high school diploma, with forklift certification considered an asset. You will work in a fast-paced, on-site environment with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years of warehouse/distribution and/or customer service experience.
  • Forklift certification is an asset (training may be provided).
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina – able to lift heavy items (50 lbs+)
  • Attention to detail in item identification and handling.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick, pack, and process orders for timely shipment.
  • Verify orders against packing lists and receive/inspect shipments.
  • Load and unload trailers and operate material handling equipment like forklifts.
  • Maintain inventory through cycle counts and proper stock placement.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the warehouse and report issues.

Kaycan has an exciting career opportunity for a Warehouse Associate based in Kelownato join our team. This is a great chance to join a Top Employer and contribute to our growth and success.

Reporting to Warehouse Team Lead, a Warehouse Associate is responsible for picking and pulling customer orders as assigned, loading and unloading product trucks, as well as performing warehouse organization duties while providing exceptional customer service.

Schedule: Monday to Friday
Status: Full Time, permanent, On-site

Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick, pack, and process orders for timely shipment. Pick customer orders for shipment and ensure accuracy by picking the correct number and type of product.
  • Compare internal orders with packing lists. Verifying/Receiving/inspecting and signing for shipment and courier deliveries. Unpack, inspect, sort and put stock away in appropriate locations.
  • Load and unload trailers and operate material handling equipment such as forklift or pallet jacks.
  • Conduct inventory cycle counts, maintain and organize inventory, ensure stock is in the correct location while keeping the warehouse clean and safe.
  • Communicate with the Supervisor regarding low stock items, and document and report any damage or deficiencies immediately.
  • Ensure the proper use of PPE and always adhere to safety protocols.
  • Maintain safety compliance when operating material handling equipment, perform daily inspection of forklift prior to use, and report any unsafe work conditions that may arise.
  • Complete other warehouse duties as required.

  • Good organizational skills and the ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Stamina – able to lift heavy items (more than 50lbs) for extended periods and perform repetitive physical work, including bending, lifting & reaching.
  • Punctual, dependable, and possess an excellent work ethic and a positive attitude. Attention to detail is essential for accurately identifying and handling items, descriptions and quantities.
