Responsibilities

• Complete local safety orientation and training, ensuring safety policies are followed.
• Shadow experienced Warehouse Operations associates in verifying inbound shipments, customer returns, and entering order receipts into computer and RF systems.
• Assist in placing received materials into proper warehouse storage locations, segregating backorders.
• Learn to fill out log sheets for inbound overages, shortages, damages, or non-compliant materials.
• Practice using manual or RF systems to pick, pack, weigh, and ship products.
• Assist with packing, labeling, wrapping, and loading trucks.
• Learn to use system-generated or manual delivery records and complete pick tickets.
• Verify return policies before issuing credits for returned materials.
• Pull stock and process returns for credit, sale, or return to supplier.
• Get trained on cutting and spooling wire.
• Maintain counter stock and assist with customer service activities.
• Progressively receive additional training on operating forklifts and pallet jacks as experience grows.

Working Environment

The work is performed in a warehouse setting, which is generally well-ventilated and lit, but can be noisy and exposed to weather conditions. Protective clothing and safety regulations are required when operating heavy equipment.

Physical Expectations

• Lifting heavy packages up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent bending, stooping, and walking long distances.
• Use of hand tools.
