Job summary

Wolseley Canada is seeking a reliable Warehouse Associate to join our Alberta distribution team. You will load, unload, receive, put away, pick and pack orders, and ship goods while maintaining safety and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have warehouse experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Forklift certification is preferred; training can be provided. Competitive benefits apply from day one.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience is required.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Must be dependable and take initiative.
• Able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
• Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain.
• WHMIS and TDG certification would be an asset.
• Knowledge of plumbing/HVAC products is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload product to meet delivery deadlines and customer commitments.
• Receive incoming shipments and verify accuracy.
• Put away product in correct locations promptly.
• Pick, pack and ship customer orders with documentation.
• Load items into trucks while adhering to delivery schedules.
• Strap/secure materials to prevent damage during transport.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety procedures in the warehouse.

What you will do:

• Load and unload product in a timely manner to meet delivery deadlines and customer commitments

• Receive incoming shipments and checking for accuracy

• Put away product to correct areas in the warehouse in a timely manner

• Pick, pack and ship customer orders, including preparing documentation for shipment

• Load items and orders into truck while adhering to a sometimes tight to delivery schedule.

• Strap and/or secure material so that there is no damage or breakage to the material during transport.

• Ensure good housekeeping and safety procedures are maintained in the warehouse.

What you will bring:

• Previous warehouse experience required

• General basic computer skills including Microsoft Office is required

• Must be dependable and reliable and willing to take initiative

• Able to regularly lift up to fifty (50lbs) pounds

• Forklift certified or ability to be certified

• WHMIS and TDG certification would be an asset

• Knowledge of industry (Plumbing and or HVAC) products is an asset
