Job summary

Poplar Grove Winery Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Assistant for an on-site, part-time/seasonal role with training provided. Daily tasks include picking/packing orders, restocking packing areas, shipping orders, loading trucks, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

The role also involves assisting with events, working on the bottling line, and handling recycling. Candidates should have basic wine knowledge and be able to read/write in English.

Qualifications

• Entry-level, on-site, part-time/seasonal position with training provided.
• Must have Class 5 driver’s license and own transportation.
• Reading and writing in English required.
• Able to lift heavy items and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Pick/pack direct-to-consumer orders.
• Restock packing areas and remote warehouses.
• Pick/pack/ship purchase orders.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Recycle materials.
• Custom labelling of product.
• Pick/pack wine club shipments.
• Work on production bottling line.

Job description

Poplar Grove Winery is seeking an individual to join our team as a “Warehouse Assistant”.

This is an entry-level, on-site, part-time/seasonal position with training provided.

Daily duties may include.

• Picking/Packing Direct to consumer orders.
• Re-stocking DTC Packing areas and remote warehouses.
• Picking/Packing/Shipping Purchase Orders.
• Loading and unloading trucks.
• Recycling.
• Custom labelling of product.
• Picking/Packing Wine club shipments.
• Working on our Production Bottling Line.
• Maintaining a safe and clean workspace.
• Assisting with events.

Experience in the following areas would be considered an asset.

• General Wine Knowledge.
• Picking/Packing Orders.
• Using Pallet Wrappers/Pallet Flippers.
• Basic Logistics.
• Microsoft Office.
• Use or familiarity with Resource Planning Software.

Please be advised that this position will entail the following daily.

• Standing or sitting for long periods of time.
