Overview

As a Fish Processing Plant Worker, you will assist in processing and packaging fresh and frozen fish products. Attention to detail and adherence to food safety regulations are critical to ensure high-quality seafood delivery.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a team to meet production goals while maintaining cleanliness. Key tasks include cleaning and sanitizing equipment, sorting, cutting, filleting fish, and packaging products. You will also conduct visual inspections and monitor temperature controls to meet quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas regularly
  • Sort, wash, and prepare fish according to standards
  • Cut, fillet, and debone fish using specialized tools
  • Package fish accurately, ensuring proper labeling and dating
  • Operate machinery safely and efficiently
  • Monitor temperature controls in storage areas
  • Maintain accurate production and inventory records
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in food processing preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for long periods
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in cold and wet conditions
