Job summary

Loblaw Distribution Centers in Canada is hiring a Warehouse Assembler to join a fast-paced, unionized environment. You will assemble pallets, wrap orders, and prepare shipments for Loblaw stores, using an electric pallet jack.

This role requires the ability to lift 60-80 lbs and operate in a temperature-controlled facility. Part-time position with shift flexibility and benefits, including a pension plan and employee discounts, designed to support growth within Loblaw's CORE values of Care,

Qualifications

• Completed or currently completing a secondary school diploma or GED.
• Able to lift and carry 60–80 lbs repeatedly with accuracy in a timed environment.
• Capable of working around heavy machinery and using an electric-powered pallet jack.
• Able to take direction from a voice-automated picking system.

Responsibilities

• Assemble cases of product on pallets for inventory requests and prepare them for shipping.
• Wrap orders and ensure pallets are accurately identified.

About the Role:

The Warehouse Assembler role is perfect for those who love to work independently and stay active, while being supported by a strong team in a fast-paced unionized environment. You will assemble pallets of product for inventory requests made by Loblaw stores.

In addition to ensuring pallets are accurate and properly identified, you will be responsible for wrapping orders and preparing them for shipping.

You will use your keen attention to detail to comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, adhere to the HACCP Food Handling practices, and inspect and report any unsafe vehicles or conditions to your Supervisor.

What you will be trained to do:

• Assembling cases of product on pallets for inventory requests made by Loblaw stores including wrapping orders and preparing them for shipping
• Utilizing an electric pallet jack to move through the warehouse

Other Skills You Will Require:

• Completed or completing a Secondary School Diploma or GED Equivalent Able to lift and carry up to 60-80 lbs, repeatedly with accuracy in a timed environment.
• Comfortable working in a temperature-controlled environment (+10 to 0 Degrees)
• Capable working around heavy machinery and able to use an electric-powered pallet jack
• Ability to take direction from a voice-automated system to pick and organize orders
