Summary

Balfour Beatty is hiring for a multi-role position. This role involves coordination for the Equipment Rental Business, as well as a field role, including filling in on projects, performing work on projects, and other activities as necessary for the business.

Essential Functions
  • Maintains an equipment database; develops and maintains equipment budgets; works with Equipment.
  • Demonstrates proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, internet, accounting applications, and Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel).
  • Evaluates equipment and related systems regarding age, condition, and useful life; conducts inventory audits.
  • Prepares project cost estimates for owner/client proposals.
  • Handles ad hoc transport arrangements, including servicing and hiring vehicles when required.
  • Registers vehicles with DMV; obtains CMV renewal components when missing from DMV mailed registration renewal documents.
  • Coordinates delivery and installation of equipment to job sites.
  • Ensures equipment is maintained and repaired in a timely manner.
  • Handles delivery and collections.
  • Schedules and tracks equipment inspections.
  • Comfortable hauling trailers in various locations such as city and interstate.
  • Maintains attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Works independently and as part of a team.
  • Possesses a valid driver's license.
  • Stands for extended periods; assists with bending, lifting, and carrying heavy items.
  • Is present on job sites, training, and other events as required.
  • Fills in for vacancies on projects, being on-site to support the team.
  • Available in emergency events, sometimes during nights and weekends.
  • Performs other related duties as needed.
Education, Experience, and Knowledge
  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Business, or a related field with 3 years of office experience preferred; or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency with PC and communication tools, including email, internet, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in contracts administration, business operations, or supply chain management.
