Job summary

A prominent educational institution in North Vancouver is seeking a dedicated Harmonics and Choir Teacher for a part-time permanent role. This position will commence with the 2026/2027 school year, focusing on teaching students in Grades 2-8. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, evaluating student progress, and interacting with parents. Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Music and/or Education, a BC Teaching Certificate, and experience with Waldorf Education.

Qualifications

• Experience in teaching choir, recorder, and percussion to children.
• Waldorf teaching experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of BC Ministry of Education curriculums.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate student progress and write reports.
• Interact with parents and supervise recess.
• Attend school festivals and events outside regular hours.

Skills

Experience in teaching singing

Knowledge of music theory

Ability to work with children of different abilities

Education

Bachelor's degree in Music and/or Education
