We’re currently recruiting Waking Nightshift Autism Practitioners to support a young gentleman at Clannalba. This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference by supporting someone to lead a meaningful life.

About the Role

This young person enjoys interacting, outdoor activities, playing ball and on swings, shopping trips, spotting lorries, eating chocolate, and having fun! He has an infectious laugh and a great personality. He prefers to go at his own pace and values close family relationships. He responds best to a trusted team who focus on support, resilience, patience, understanding, compassion, and a relaxing, low arousal environment. The role requires full support with personal care.

About You

You will support his wellbeing and create a relaxed environment to promote rest, along with personal care. We seek fun, enthusiastic, adaptable individuals who can follow the lead of the person supported. Calm under pressure, collaborative, with a laid-back and caring nature, you could be a perfect fit.

  • Experience in personal care
  • An understanding of developmental stages and support strategies
  • Familiarity with low-arousal approaches
  • Knowledge of stress and emotional regulation support
  • A full UK driving licence
  • A mature and considered outlook
