Job Overview:

A Bloomingdale's Server is essential to the customer experience, helping to deliver our mission of being like no other store. Whether serving frozen yogurt or providing a sit-down meal, our restaurant team delivers an exciting experience through stellar service, menu knowledge, and awareness of store happenings. Our restaurants offer creative culinary dishes and a wait staff that ensures a unique dining experience.

Essential Functions:

1. Provide excellent service to ensure customer satisfaction
2. Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g., about portions, ingredients, or allergies)
3. Understand typical "Coursing" and its link to upselling
4. Take accurate food and drinks orders using the ordering system
5. Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities, and learn new procedures

Qualifications and Competencies:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Effective communication and presentation skills for one-on-one and small group interactions
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking around the store or department
• Reaching, crouching, kneeling, and stooping as needed
• Frequent use of computers and technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers
• Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs regularly
