Job summary

Imperial in Dartmouth, NS, is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation maintenance specialist to support terminal systems and provide technical guidance. Reporting to the Maintenance Lead, you will ensure reliable operation of electrical, instrumentation and control systems across the terminal.

You will supervise maintenance work, develop work plans, issue safe permits and contribute to reliability programs within midstream operations, ensuring safety and efficiency in a complex facility.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma is a minimum requirement.
  • Electronic Engineering Technologist Diploma or Journeyman Electrical or Instrumentation Ticket.
  • Dual ticketed Instrumentation & Electrical candidates are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and reliability of Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls Systems in use at the Terminal including PLCs, PCS, Telecoms, Measurement and Analyzers.
  • Execute maintenance work and supervise related work performed by contractors, including developing work plans and issuing safe work permits.
  • Provide input on maintenance and reliability plans in related discipline.

What role you will play in our team

Reporting to the Maintenance Lead, the ideal candidate will perform both Electrical & Instrumentation maintenance and provide technical support for the terminal.

What you will do
  • Responsible for maintenance and reliability of Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls Systems in use at the Terminal including but not limited to PLCs, PCS Systems, Telecoms, Measurement and Analyzers, Instrumentation, Electrical infrastructure
  • Execute maintenance work and/or supervise related work performed by contractors, including developing work plans and issuing safe work permits
  • Provide input on maintenance and reliability plans in related discipline
About you
Skills and Qualifications
  • High School diploma is a minimum requirement
  • Electronic Engineering Technologist Diploma; or
  • Journeyman Electrical or Instrumentation Ticket
  • Dual ticketed Instrumentation & Electrical candidates
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
  • At least 10 yrs of related experience
  • Experience with midstream fuels terminals and operations working with equipment and systems spanning: atmospheric storage tanks, pipelines, marine/rail offloading facilities, truck loading facilities, and VRU’s/VCU’s.
  • This position is designated as Safety Sensitive under the company’s Alcohol & Drug policy and will require successful pre-employment certification process
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license and safe driving record are required
