Job description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Vulnerability Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing vulnerability and patch management processes, analyzing security vulnerabilities, and ensuring robust protection of our network infrastructure. This role involves collaboration with vendors, engineering teams, and internal security groups to define remediation strategies and maintain high security standards.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage vulnerability and patch management processes to ensure systems are secure and up-to-date.
  • Track the lifecycle of security vulnerabilities, including configuration management, code upgrades, and overall system hygiene efforts.
  • Collaborate with vendors, engineering teams, and internal security teams (including Client security teams) to analyze vulnerabilities, assess impacts, and define remediation strategies.
  • Establish timelines for vulnerability remediation, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion. Escalate issues when necessary to maintain security posture.
  • Develop and maintain reporting mechanisms to provide transparency and insights on vulnerability management activities to senior management.

Required Qualifications :

  • 8–10 years of experience in the Network and Cybersecurity field.
  • Proven experience working with multivendor network infrastructures.
  • Strong background in Linux-based server infrastructures.
  • Hands-on experience with PSIRT (Product Security Incident Response Team) and vulnerability investigation / management.
  • Strong leadership abilities with the capability to drive initiatives and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Self-starter with a results-driven mindset and the ability to work independently.
  • Technical proficiency in Linux, Python, and Shell / Perl Scripting.
  • Experience with security tools like Splunk and project management tools like Jira.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Cisco CCNA / CCNP certification or equivalent working knowledge.
  • Cisco Cybersecurity Associate / Professional certification or equivalent knowledge.
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification.
  • GIAC Security Essentials or equivalent certification.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience leading security-related projects.
  • Certifications :

    Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CCNA / CCNP, Security+, GIAC) are highly preferred.
