Job summary

Tokio Marine Canada invites a seasoned Surety leader to accelerate growth in Ontario and Atlantic Canada. Lead strategy, underwriting, broker management, and brand promotion in a hybrid Toronto-based role.

You will mentor underwriters, guide risk decisions, and collaborate with senior leadership to deliver strong results in a dynamic market. Travel to regions and engagement with brokers are expected in this senior role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Surety with direct people leadership.
• Strong leadership skills to motivate and develop performance.
• Financial acumen and ability to use data to drive decisions.
• Extensive understanding of underwriting, risk management and mitigation.
• Ability to partner with staff across lines of business.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic direction for Ontario and Atlantic Canada.
• Lead day-to-day surety operations, underwriting standards and risk controls.
• Manage broker relationships and promote the Tokio Marine Canada brand.
• Collaborate with Surety teams across Canada to meet business plans.
• Mentor and develop underwriters; manage talent and performance.
