Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Provides strategic leadership and overall operational management to a service-focused provincial administrative and shared services team of over 1700 staff, with an annual operating budget of over $300 million and a fluctuating annual capital planning budget of approximately $555 million, that provides centralized administration for Shared Health and a full suite of corporate & shared administrative services to Shared Health and the independently governed provincial health system service delivery organizations (SDOs) including the regional health authorities and CancerCare Manitoba, and other applicable health system partners such as the health sector supply chain services.
As part of the senior executive team of Shared Health, this VP, Strategy and Corporate Services collaborates to establish, implement and measure the achievement of Shared Health’s strategic and operating goals and objectives against the mandate assigned by the provincial government.
Shared Administrative Services service areas include the administrative functions of Shared Health and the shared services provided to all provincial health system SDOs.

Responsible for the safety and security of all the resources within administration and shared services, this senior leader must maintain effective business relationships at the executive level with key clients and vendors to ensure effective and timely response to critical system issues and needs, must be prepared to contribute and be visible in responses to media issues related to the services provided in Shared Administrative Services, must model the behavioural standards of the organization as the senior leader within the service area to whom all staff are accountable, and must sustainably manage the funds provided for all operating and capital investments in shared administrative services.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
