Primary Job Purpose

The Vice President of Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and executing strategic sales initiatives. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and leading a high-performing sales team across Canada and the U.S. The VP of Sales will align sales strategies with the company’s goals and core values while maintaining a professional and results-driven approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the entire sales team across all Canadian and U.S. markets.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth, expand market share, and achieve revenue targets.
  • Provide clear direction, coaching, and mentorship to sales representatives, ensuring continuous improvement and performance.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to align sales initiatives with overall business objectives.

Business Development & Client Relations

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities that align with company goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Develop and negotiate contracts, ensuring terms align with company interests and operational capabilities.
  • Oversee and review sales activity reports and forecasts to ensure data-driven decision-making.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and professional networking functions.

Operational & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Ensure the sales team maintains accurate and up-to-date customer records, tracking sales activities and potential leads.
  • Evaluate and approve sales strategies and business development deals before implementation.
  • Work closely with internal departments, including marketing and operations, to streamline sales processes and enhance customer experience.
  • Provide regular performance updates and recommendations to the executive team.

Education & Experience

  • Experience in the flooring, construction, or building materials industry is an asset.
