Qualifications

  • Holding a financial planning designation is an asset.

This is a REMOTE position, covering Peel, Hamilton, and Halton regions, with residence in one.

About the Department

Franklin Templeton’s Retail Sales team drives client success by delivering tailored investment solutions across asset management, wealth management, and fintech. The team collaborates globally, combining diverse expertise with a flexible, inclusive culture. How You Will Add Value

Core Responsibilities

  • You will collaborate with the AVP Regional Sales (internal sales) and Sales Coordinators to ensure comprehensive advisor coverage, execute territory plans, and maintain accurate advisor data.
  • You will identify and communicate product opportunities.
  • You will participate in team meetings and align strategies.
  • You will build lasting relationships and understand evolving client needs.
  • You will deliver presentations that clearly communicate product value.
  • You will collaborate with internal teams for seamless client service.
  • You will monitor market trends and regulatory changes.
  • You will represent Franklin Templeton at industry events.
  • You will uphold compliance and ethical standards.

Strategic Responsibilities

  • You will support 700 advisory relationships in Southwest Ontario.
  • You will, in conjunction with the AVP Regional Sales, develop and implement a territory plan to achieve the sales and activity targets assigned to your territory.
What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role

Experience, Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Business; MBA or Chartered Financial Analyst preferred.
  • 7+ years of sales experience in investment management or financial services.
  • Proven success selling mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, and alternative investments.
  • Holding a financial planning designation is an asset.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of financial markets and investment processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and tools like Morningstar, Bloomberg and YCharts
  • Comfortable with CRMs, video conferencing, and social media.

Soft Skills

  • Self-motivated, collaborative, results-driven, and able to work independently.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Comfortable with frequent travel.
