Job summary

TD Asset Management, a TD Group company, is seeking an experienced fixed income Portfolio Manager to manage benchmarks, analyze markets, and implement trade programs in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with portfolio managers and relationship managers to deliver excellent client outcomes and ensure regulatory compliance while contributing to ETF expertise.

Qualifications

• Preferred university degree in quantitative discipline (math, engineering or science) and/or business or economics.
• Demonstrates a high level of initiative, highly motivated and a self-starter.
• CFA designation.
• Minimum 7–10 years of fixed income investment experience and knowledge of fixed income benchmarks and methodology.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and VBA.
• Solid understanding of portfolio management.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to communicate complex investment ideas.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Experience managing Fixed Income ETFs is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage fixed income portfolios to track their respective benchmarks within prescribed tracking variance.
• Participate in new order management activities.
• Monitor daily portfolio cash flows and characteristics and review and analyze required changes to portfolio structure using a variety of analytical tools.
• Design and implement fixed income trade programs.
• Ensure portfolio compliance with investment and regulatory policy.
• Conduct market and security specific analysis including corporate actions.
• Respond to portfolio administration inquiries and troubleshooting.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Participate in cross department initiatives.
• Participate in external client servicing requirements and presentations.
• Collaborate with other portfolio management team members and relationship managers to ensure the delivery of an excellent client experience.
• Provide ongoing support to business partners including client servicing, relationship management and risk management.
