Apply locations Montreal, Canada time type Full time posted on Posted Yesterday job requisition id PT-JR013430 This position is for hands on senior C++ developer with a focus on low latency market data for our systems across Americas.

Responsibilities include:
> Programming and designing C++ low latency real time market data systems, primarily focusing on fixed income and FX market data exchanges.
> Understanding exchange specifications and vendor supplied APIs to process large amount of market data from global exchanges in least amount of time possible.
> Actively participate in understanding, troubleshooting and providing solutions to challenging low latency requirements for market data delivery to algorithmic trading systems
> Working with business clients to understand their requirements and build appropriate solutions
> Understand and participate in configuring and architecting optimal production deployments of the low latency market data systems. Skill Required
> Very good knowledge of C++ especially around performance intensive programming techniques and data structures.
> Good understanding of production deployments in past projects and ability to diagnose production problems related to high performance systems.
> Ability to build production quality systems with an eye designing for easy supportability and quick resolution to production problems
> Knowledge of low latency techniques like kernel bypass, RDMA, shared memory data structure, core pinning
> Knowledge of modern hardware architecture
> Very good understanding UNIX/Linux operating systems: Candidates should understand UNIX OS internals in order to perform resource monitoring, and be able to tune operating system parameters according to applications requirements.
> Knowledge of Network programming (e.g. TCP/IP, Multicast
> Interpersonal skills/communication Good quality English speaking is essential as there is regular interaction with peer teams, internal clients, vendors and suppliers in any other region. Candidates must be able to communicate clearly and concisely to minimize misunderstandings and to ensure fast and accurate dissemination of information.
