We are looking for a Vice President of Sales & Service to join our growing team.
The What...
As the Striker, VP of Sales & Service, you will spearhead the strategic direction, along with the sales, service, and overall success of the Striker business through effective leadership of the team. This encompasses large capital sales and installations via strategic marketing initiatives, trial implementations, and the cross-selling of aftermarket services. Striker stands as the exclusive distributor in Canada for Brunswick Bowling Corporation, the top-selling brand in bowling equipment products. Your role will also involve ensuring that Striker products are delivered in accordance with contract specifications, established policies, and procedures, including the management of installations.
Sales
Your role would focus on supporting:
- Achieve sales targets as defined in the budget and the strategic plan.
- Lead the sales team to meet key performance metrics and monthly KPIs.
- Develop and manage pricing strategies for the Striker team.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly commercial forecasts.
- Collaborate on regional pricing strategies.
- Formulate market plans and set individual growth strategies.
- Manage and enhance margins across all product sectors.
- Partner with the President to develop tools for sustainable growth.
- Oversee sales team training on key products, specifications, and installation.
- Prepare regular competitive analysis on the latest innovations in the bowling supply sector and installation.
- Educate key influencers in commercial building design and applications of Striker products and services.
Service
- Build and maintain customer relationships and key business opportunities.
- Build and retain the installation teams of installers, trainers, and field engineers.
- Resolve issues related to installation and warranty services in collaboration with team and customers.
- Identify project risks early and ensure mitigation actions are in place, escalating to the President as needed.
- Proactively manage daily activities of installation teams.
- Maintain aftermarket parts and service sales.
- Monitor and manage service-related expenses closely.
- Ensure installation targets are met efficiently by monitoring installation team movements.
- Hold installers accountable for meeting company installation objectives.
- Manage the installation process, coordinating resources to fulfill contracts on time and within budget.
- Plan and strategize installation execution, including coordinating rental equipment.
- Provide daily inputs and creative suggestions regarding installation methods and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
To Be Successful You'll Have
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in Sales or Operations, or relevant experience in senior management role.
- Experience in a sales & service role with progressive responsibility and a proven track record of delivering against personal and financial objectives.
- Experience in hospitality or general industrial sectors.
- Bi-lingual (English/French) is an asset yet not mandatory.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and achieve exceptional results.
- Proven track record of driving sales teams to exceptional performance.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Experience in managing sales volumes of at least $10M+.
- Strong influencing and presentation skills.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Ability to build strong relationships with team members inside and outside of Striker Bowling.
- Analytical approach to identifying trends and opportunities.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to focus resources on short- and long-term objectives.
- Experience in handling people-related issues and driving the people agenda across the business.
- Successful strategic leadership in a multi-site environment.
- Broad knowledge of sales and marketing techniques, operational support, and talent management.
- Organized and disciplined project management approach.
- Strong team ethics and proactive leadership.
- Motivated by innovation and achieving challenging objectives.
- Confidence in managing the performance of others.
Travel Requirements
- Regular travel across Canada.
- Support Office environment when not travelling from Oakville, ON.
