We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Vice President of IT to join our leadership team in Toronto.

The Opportunity

As the VP of IT, you will serve as the senior technology leader, responsible for shaping and executing our IT strategy in alignment with organizational goals. You will oversee enterprise systems, infrastructure, security, and digital transformation initiatives while building a high-performing IT team. This role requires both visionary leadership and practical execution, balancing strategy with day-to-day operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership – Define and execute the IT roadmap, aligning technology investments with business priorities.
  • Enterprise Systems & Infrastructure – Oversee core systems, cloud platforms, and infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Cybersecurity & Risk Management – Establish strong governance, compliance, and security frameworks to safeguard company and customer data.
  • Digital Transformation – Champion innovation, automation, and data-driven decision-making to optimize operations and customer engagement.
  • Team Leadership – Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing IT organization; foster a culture of accountability, agility, and continuous improvement.
  • Vendor & Budget Oversight – Manage technology budgets, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations to ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with executives and business leaders to identify opportunities for technology to drive growth and efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

  • 12+ years of progressive IT leadership, including executive-level experience in a mid-to-large organization.
  • Strong background in enterprise systems, cloud infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity.
  • Proven track record leading digital transformation initiatives and implementing enterprise-wide technology strategies.
  • Expertise in IT governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical strategies into business value.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (MBA or equivalent considered an asset).
