This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Xsolla. We are currently looking for a VP of Infrastructure and Cloud Operations in Canada.

Step into a global leadership role where you'll shape and scale world-class infrastructure to power high-growth, cloud-based platforms. As Vice President of Infrastructure and Cloud Operations, you'll drive the strategic vision and execution of hybrid and multi-cloud environments, lead cross-functional global teams, and implement AI-powered automation to optimize performance and reliability. This position is ideal for a hands-on executive with deep technical expertise and a passion for innovation, operational excellence, and empowering teams. You’ll report directly to the CTO and influence technology decisions at the highest level.

Accountabilities:

  • Define and execute the global infrastructure and operations strategy, aligned with business and technology goals.
  • Lead and grow multidisciplinary teams across DevOps, SRE, Networking, and Database disciplines in a global, multicultural environment.
  • Manage hybrid and multi-cloud environments ensuring security, scalability, and high availability.
  • Implement AI/ML-driven automation to reduce manual toil, resolve incidents faster, and improve system reliability.
  • Drive observability initiatives and CI/CD security practices to enable proactive incident prevention.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and enforce SLAs, ensuring optimal service performance.
  • Own budgeting, cost optimization, and long-term capacity planning for infrastructure.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to Engineering, Product, and Security teams to ensure infrastructure supports rapid innovation.
  • Champion leadership development and continuous improvement across global teams.
  • 10+ years of senior leadership in infrastructure and operations, including private and public cloud environments.
  • Proven success overseeing DevOps, SRE, Networking, and Database functions in fast-paced, global companies.
  • Deep technical understanding of infrastructure architecture, automation, performance engineering, and cloud governance.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-powered systems for monitoring, alerting, and performance optimization.
  • Skilled in managing cross-cultural teams across time zones and fostering strong team collaboration.
  • Experience working closely with CTOs or C-level leadership to influence technology strategy.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level reporting.
  • Experience with observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus) and secure development practices.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Nice to have: gaming or SaaS industry experience, regulatory exposure (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR), and digital transformation leadership.
  • Competitive annual salary: $200,000 – $300,000 CAD, depending on experience and location.
