Position: Vice President of Finance - Canada

The Vice President of Finance will lead the company's financial strategy, ensuring financial stability, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include overseeing financial reporting, risk management, capital planning, and process improvements to support growth and long-term value creation.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage the finance team (if applicable).
  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Ensure compliance with CIRO, provincial, and other financial regulations.
  • Oversee preparation of financial statements, regulatory filings, and reports.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks.
  • Maintain adequate liquidity and capital levels.
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with regulators, auditors, and senior management.
  • Implement systems and process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements :

  • Financial accounting designation or relevant degree/diploma.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial services.
  • Completion of CFO qualifying exams and Partners, Directors, and Senior Officers Course.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian financial regulations, especially CIRO.
  • Understanding of capital markets and investment dealer operations.
  • Ability to handle complex issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ethical principles and integrity.
  • Willingness to learn, take accountability, and collaborate.
  • Prior approval from CIRO is an advantage.
