Our client, a rapidly growing asset manager located in North York, is looking to hire a VP of Investment Finance.
Your New Role
As the VP of Investment Finance, you will work directly with the CEO on various investment and finance tasks, including cost management, planning, and reporting, ensuring compliance with business requirements. You will oversee global lease administration, act as the lead for M&A due diligence and integration activities related to real estate and facilities, and liaise with cross-functional teams. Your responsibilities will also include implementing industry best practices to enhance real estate strategy alignment, developing stakeholder relationships, leading real estate transactions and negotiations across the Americas, and identifying opportunities for portfolio rationalization and cost savings. Additionally, you will oversee budget planning and strengthen departmental controls to ensure compliance.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
The ideal candidate will hold an MBA or similar master's degree and have 15+ years of experience in corporate real estate finance or investment management. You should have a proven ability to solve problems independently, strong commercial leasing negotiations, contract management skills, and excellent financial and analytical capabilities. Exceptional relationship-building and client management skills are essential, along with a collaborative, consultative style and a strong customer service mentality. Strong leadership skills to mentor, coach, and motivate a diverse team are also required.
