A leading company in the financial services sector is seeking a Managing Director for its North America institutional sales team. This role involves driving business growth, managing key client relationships, and leveraging extensive knowledge of the institutional investment landscape to deliver tailored solutions. The Managing Director role is part of our broader North America institutional sales team and will be responsible for driving new business, maintaining existing business and serving as the primary liaison for institutional clients, prospects, and consultants.
You will manage a sales territory of the largest Canadian institutional entities focusing on providing investment solutions across pension, retirement, and not-for-profit asset pools.
You will be responsible for :
Leading business development and client servicing efforts for institutional clients within your coverage territory in collaboration with institutional colleagues on Consultant Relations, Defined Contribution, and Global Liquidity sales teams as well as other Invesco business units
Proactively building our understanding of each asset owner’s organizational structure, decision- making authority, and investment priorities
Establishing and executing Canadian sales plan for accounts in your territory by continuously evaluating client needs, designing an organized and efficient approach to relationship management, and providing value-added services
Establishing and maintaining regular communication with asset owners and consultants in your territory
Coordinating client requests, promptly and accurately
The experience you bring :
10+ years of institutional sales experience
Financial services / investment management experience with deep knowledge of institutional ecosystem, sponsors, consultants, and competitors
Strong understanding of investment instruments and their relevance across various plan and client types
Exceptional teammate, open-minded, flexible, and willing to listen to other people’s opinions
Ability to navigate multiple work streams and manage competing priorities
Creative problem-solving skills
