About the job

The Global Business Manager - VP is a senior level position within the Services Technology Business Execution organization, reporting directly to the Payments Technology Execution Lead. This position is responsible for providing business management support for Payments Technology, an organization with a ~$450M expense and a ~4,000+ workforce. This also includes technology portfolio financial governance and reporting, vendor management, workforce strategy execution and accountable for management of complex/critical deliverables (ie: Consent Order and Regulatory, Payments LATAM book of work)Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the trusted advisor and present strategic solutions to assist Technology teams in achieving their year-end targets, metrics and KPIs
  • Manage end to end expense and headcount month-end close, monthly forecast, transfers as well as the annual budget process
  • Provide expense and headcount variance commentary and highlight risks/opportunities from a Tech and Product financial perspective
  • Manage resource tracking which includes direct staff and third-party vendors
  • End to end non compensation related expense management including accruals, invoice mapping, software capitalization and amortization and T&E
  • Drive productivity/cost savings initiatives in partnership with the senior leadership team
  • Review application profiles and front office allocations accuracy
  • Conduct root cause analysis to mitigate issues from resurfacing
  • Implement processes that improve quality, eliminate rework and standardization
  • Participate in leadership meetings to assess scope of communications needs, educate leadership on strategy, and make recommendations for achieving desired impact
  • Advance organization/people strategy goals including communications strategy, talent strategy, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in a financial services role
  • Technology finance and portfolio governance experience is required
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry and technology, including Profit & Loss (P&L), accruals, client allocations, capitalization, recovery and fixed price contracts
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of financial services industry
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills with key stakeholders and Senior Management
  • Strategic and goal-oriented thinker
  • Effective interpersonal skills – including teamwork and organizational skills
  • Detail oriented and ability to multi-task
  • Proven ability to work in a team of diverse skill sets and culture
  • Proven ability to work in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills. Ability to analyze large data sets and apply formulas and/or pivot tables when necessary
  • Working proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
