Position
VP Enterprise Data Operations & Chief Data Officer — responsible for leading enterprise data operations, data strategy, governance, and analytics to enable business transformation and operational excellence.
What You Will Be Doing
- Strategic Leadership & Business Alignment: Lead the development and execution of data and analytics strategies that align with corporate objectives and drive measurable business outcomes. Develop annual business plans, including KPIs, budgets, and business cases for key initiatives. Translate complex data insights into actionable strategies for executive decision-making. Communicate a clear vision that connects data strategy to organizational goals and values.
- Enterprise Data Strategy & Architecture: Define and implement enterprise data architecture, data governance models, and standards. Oversee the design and delivery of data management systems that meet evolving business needs. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards. Set the direction for advanced and predictive analytics to anticipate performance challenges and uncover opportunities.
- Digital Transformation & Innovation: Lead digital strategy execution, identify areas for rapid digitization, and design operating models to support transformation. Champion data-driven product and service improvements based on emerging customer preferences and market trends.
- Talent Development & Leadership: Build and lead high-performing teams, foster a culture of ethical, open communication and cross-functional collaboration. Create equitable development opportunities, provide clear performance expectations and feedback. Champion diversity and inclusion within data teams. Identify and nurture future leaders in data and analytics.
- Artificial Intelligence Strategy & Integration: Lead strategic integration of AI across enterprise data operations, identify opportunities to leverage AI for predictive analytics, automation, and enhanced decision-making. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement AI-driven solutions. Ensure ethical and responsible use of AI technologies in line with regulatory standards.
- Change Management & Business Continuity: Lead change initiatives that support organizational agility and innovation. Address succession risks and ensure continuity in leadership and data capabilities.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives, providing guidance on data strategy, policy implementation, and transformational projects. Build strong internal partnerships to ensure alignment across business units.
What We Are Looking For
- Degree in business administration or a technology-related field
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in digital or IT roles
- Minimum of 10 years in a leadership position managing high-performing teams and adopting new technologies
- Demonstrated experience in senior leadership roles in information security and IT security
- Proven track record of leading enterprise-wide data transformations
- Strong understanding of regulatory environments affecting data use in financial services
- Experience managing multiple vendors and partners to support technology operations
- Bilingual in both official languages
What Will Make You Stand Out
- MBA and / or degree / diploma in a related business domain
- Certification in data governance, AI ethics, or cloud architecture
