Position Overview:

Canada Goose is looking to bring onboard a dynamic, visionary leader to join our team as Vice President of Enterprise Applications. If you’re passionate about driving innovation, shaping strategic technology initiatives, and empowering organizations to reach new heights, we want to hear from you! Step into a key leadership role where your expertise will define the future of our enterprise systems and leave a lasting impact on our company’s success. The VP, Enterprise Applications provides strategy, vision, direction and management of Canada Goose’s business processes and enterprise applications. You and your team will act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the IT team on all requirements surrounding business process design, enterprise application roadmaps and documentation. In addition, you will help prioritize global applications initiatives, provide functional support of all enterprise processes and provide best practices for a sustainable ecosystem that supports the organizations financial, operational and growth goals. You will also recruit, coach and mentor a team of experts and foster trusted partnerships with business stakeholders and other IT Groups.

What You'll Do:

  • Establish the strategy and roadmaps for enterprise applications in alignment with the corporate objectives, including corporate systems (Finance, HR, Procurement, Document Management, Supply Chain), supply chain systems and manufacturing systems
  • Keep abreast of industry and technology trends to inform and adjust the strategy
  • Support the short-term and long-term financial and operational goals of Canada Goose by supporting successful delivery of initiatives and sustaining operational performance
  • Create and nurture a team that partners with the business to continuously improve, optimize and enhance business processes and their use of enterprise applications
  • Work in close collaboration with technology peers to support Canada Goose transformation initiatives with a bias towards configuration and extensibility of native platforms
  • Assess business and user needs continuously to provide analysis on opportunities to take advantage of existing and/or innovative technology solutions
  • Serve as an internal consultant to advise on best practices and application of technology
  • Translate emerging business requirements to applications enablement initiatives that yield measurable business outcomes
  • Develop team expertise to serve as functional subject matter experts for enterprise applications; provide end user support as needed
  • Document business processes, functional requirements and other supporting reference material; disseminate this knowledge to the Support, Development, QA and Project teams
  • Work closely with other IT management personnel in identifying, evaluating, selecting, and implementing specific information technologies that support the Corporate and IT strategies
  • Negotiate resolution of conflicting priorities to establish resource and task plan that supports the department and corporate objectives
  • Set and measure performance objectives and provides regular one-on-one feedback to all members of the team
  • Build a clear and defined succession plan for management within the team
  • Coach and mentor team leads and team members, provides guidance in the resolution of critical issues that may impact established service levels or service expectations
  • Manage the department through clear communication, expectations, timelines and performance metrics
  • Manage delivery and SLAs by guiding incident resolution, problem management, maintenance, and enhancement tickets raised by the end users for assigned applications
  • Develop relevant metrics, measures and publishes the performance of the services provided and enable continuous improvement activities in collaboration with peer groups
  • Provide key operational metrics for all global applications operations processes.
  • Provide input to the Financial and Capital Planning processes as well as technology impacts to the department

Let’s Talk About You:

  • Twelve or more years experience in managing enterprise IT applications including design, implementation, delivery, troubleshooting, change management and production support
  • Successfully implemented multiple ERP/MRP projects including more than one of the following areas: Finance (GL, AR, AP), Procurement (Procure to Pay process), Warehouse, Logistics, MRP, PLM, HR, document management, collaboration tools, Business Intelligence, Data Lake.
  • Strong expertise in business process analysis techniques, including business process re-engineering, as-is/to-be and gap analysis, continuous improvement processes
  • Strong expertise in development of application roadmaps and strategies
  • Six Sigma or APICS certification is an asset
  • Certification or training in MS D365 (functional) or other ERP/MRP is an asset
